Why Should You Create an eBook?

Okay but like, why even create your own digital product and out of all things an eBook? And are you even at the right stage in your blogging career to become an eBook author?

I had the exact same questions in my head before I started writing my own eBook. And you know what? Yes, anyone can write an eBook as long as you’re passionate about it and do some research to help your eBook be as successful as it can be.

You don’t have to do it alone. There are many resources available to help you through the entire eBook creation process, including this awesome bootcamp.

But first, let’s start with the basics. Below are just a few of the reasons why you should take the jump and write your own eBook.

1) Build trust with audience

Think about it. If you’re writing an ebook about something, you must have quite a bit of knowledge on that subject, right? I mean, you wouldn’t be able to write a cookbook if you don’t know how to cook. So by writing an eBook, it is not only giving you more credibility as truly knowing what you are talking about, but because of this, it helps build a stronger trust between you and your readers.

Through your eBook, you are providing your audience with valuable information to impact their lives in a way that a single blog post can’t. So by pouring your heart into an eBook, you are not only impacting their lives in a positive way but making a deeper connection with them through your writing.

2) Grow your reach

Once you have a published eBook, your opportunities for making money through your blog multiply. Not only are you now taken more seriously, but because of this, you may actually land additional collaborations that could greatly expand and grow your reach just by having a digital product!

Having a product to sell also gives you the opportunity to contribute to bigger deals and bundles in which other bloggers get together to promote each others products. Ultimate Bundles is actually the perfect example of this. Their bundles involve multiple blog contributors promoting the entire product bundle to their own audiences. This gives your eBook an audience reach you may not have been able to reach without it. How awesome would that be??

3) Earn passive income for life

And of course, creating your own digital product is one of the best ways to make money blogging in 2020. I mean, everything is moving to the online world so might as well follow the trend and join along. And by creating your own eBook, you can make passive income for years to come, even while you sleep!

I’m serious. Once you launch your eBook, you could continue generating sales for many years afterwards. And unlike affiliate marketing, you would be earning more than 90% of your ticket price! So I don’t know about you, but this sounds totally worth it!

Learn How To Create an eBook to Sell With This Bestseller Bootcamp

So if I’m being completely honest, I actually didn’t start taking this bootcamp course until I was already almost done with my eBook. However, I totally wish I would have as I probably would have been way done with the entire process by now.

Learning how to create an eBook to sell is not easy. I actually almost gave up on mine a couple of times. But thankfully I didn’t because I’m super proud of what I’ve accomplished. Don’t you want to feel this way too?

In this eBook Bestseller Bootcamp eCourse, Ana teaches you the entire eBook process from beginning to end. You don’t even have to know what you’re going to write about yet as she helps with that too. There’s soo much information and she really deep dives into every single step, which I loved!

eBook Bestseller Bootcamp Review & Favorites

I know… there are soo many courses out there but what makes this one different? You’ve probably heard me say this but I’ll say it again LOL! I am a course junkie so I’ve noticed a thing or two about courses and sadly, not all of them are good.

But even though I’ve taken lots of them, I’ve never taken a course about writing an eBook to sell. It never even crossed my mind until a little while ago. And whoa, I’m blown away at how much this bootcamp course offers and teaches, not only from Ana’s perspective but from other bloggers as well.

Here are some of the eCourse favorites that makes this one stand out:

1) Live interviews with successful bloggers

Though this course was created by Ana with The She Approach, she brought in 6 other successful bloggers for a live interview to share their own strategies and tips. You literally cannot find these interviews anywhere else.

She talked to Courtney Chaal, a sales expert and strategist, who shared her secret formula for creating an amazing sales page that actually sells.

Zoe Linda, an affiliate manager and online marketing strategist, teaches why it makes sense to start your own affiliate program for your digital products (HINT: it leads to more passive income).

Carly Campbell with Mommy On Purpose, a successful mom blogger, explains how she sold over 200 eBooks without doing any promotional efforts herself. Oh and this was all with a small email list and for her first digital product.

She also had three more interviews with other pro bloggers to help teach you different perspectives on writing an eBook to sell. Click here for more details.

2) Video trainings with script

This is probably the first time I have ever seen a transcript or super detailed cheat sheet included with a video course. Even the interviews have a time stamped outline so you could skip ahead to what you really want to know.

Plus these are not short 5-minute videos. These are super in-depth videos that not only teach you the material but also include step-by-step video tutorials on how to use some of these blogging tools you already have (ahemm… MailerLite for example).

Oh and in addition to the detailed videos and transcript, she also includes free printables that match the topic of discussion. Many of these type of bonuses included in the course can be found for a price elsewhere so it’s pretty cool that it’s included for free.

Ohh I can’t wait to see your course! Your videos are always good so I can only imagine the eBook that will come with it lol

  • Britt K

This sounds like a great course! I have seriously been considering what digital products I can put together as of late. I know that I definitely want to include my own products in my income mix – I just need to sit down and take the time to plan it all out. This couldn’t have had better timing!

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

Oooo so happy to hear that! If you haven’t done any products before, I do recommend an eBook as it’s almost likely writing a super long blog post lol!

  • Ana De- Jesus

Thank you for the great advice on starting an e-book, which is a great way of diversifying your income as a blogger. I just signed up to your mailing list and look forward to reading more of your posts.

  • Christian

Love eBooks! eCourses can be very overwhelming for beginners like you said. Hopefully, I can get my rolling soon! 🙂

  • Nthabiseng

Great post. I’ve been in a jam about where to even start with an ebook, something that has been on my goals list for way too long. Thanks for sharing. I have a lot to consider and work on now.

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

Think about it as if you were writing a blog post but on a topic you know the most about. You can also do some market search with your audience to see what they would like from you

    • Renee

I love the She Approach and Carly! Sounds like a great product. Super timely as I’m mapping out my ebook ideas now 🙂 just have to push myself to do it!

      Great writeup Lucy

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

I thought about this option as well but digital seems to be the way to go, especially if it’s a super long eBook. Few people compared to the overall whole want to use their own printer and ink to print an eBook

  • Heather Ritchie

I love this and I’ve never heard of this course! It sounds awesome. Writing an eBook is actually easier than people think and you clearly outline the benefits. Like you said an eBook is great to establish trust and grow your reach. It’s also great for establishing yourself as an expert!

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

Yes agreed agreed and agreed! It definitely sounds scary but once you’re in it, writing the eBook is actually the easiest part in my opinion lol it’s everything that comes after that’s a bit more complex but do-able!

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

hahaha oh man! for eBook ideas, you can always do market research with your audience to see what they would be interested in

  • Leeann

I have thought about this a lot actually! I’m still trying to land on the topic and goals for mine but I at least now know there is a simpler way! Thank you for the great post!

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

For a topic, you can do some market research in Facebook groups or even keyword research to help you decide. Think about it as a superrrr longgg blog post – it makes it much easier when you change to this mindset lol

  • Ana

What a great run-down of the course! Thank you so much for reviewing it and being such an active student. I can’t wait to see where your eBook journey takes you.

  • Valerie

This is so interesting, and definitely something I have considered in the past. It’s hard to know where to start though! Thank you for you insights. I may look more into this as a possibility now. ❤

    • Lucy | CheersToBlogging

Yes I totally get it! I delayed mine for that exact reason but once you start, you’ll have to finish so that’s the hardest part. You got this! 😉
