Immediately Increase Blog Traffic With KeySearch
Have you ever wondered how these successful bloggers are able to increase blog traffic so quickly? And what in the world is this weird SEO word that they all talk about?
I was there once. I wondered the same questions so I did some research. And here is what I learned:
SEO stands for search engine optimization. Still confused? Pretty much this means you are improving your blog to make it searchable and likable by Google and other search engines.

And one very critical component to help you improve your blog’s SEO is to use a keyword search tool, like KeySearch. But trust me, I get it. For months I was in defense about using these tools as I thought I could do without, but nope. In just my short time using KeySearch, I’ve now come to understand why it’s much harder to grow a successful blog without using it.
Now it’s your turn to find out not only why this tool is important, but I’ll also share a quick easy guide on how to use this awesome keyword search tool to help you grow your blog!
Why Use KeySearch to Increase Blog Traffic?
Like I said, I was in defense about investing into yet another blogging tool. So what did I use? I used nothing, literally nothing. I thought Pinterest was going to be enough – until I reached my limitations on Pinterest (due to all their constant updates and algorithm changes).
And that’s when I learned to stop putting all my eggs into one basket. I needed to become more searchable by well.. search engines. And that’s where KeySearch came in.
Here are the benefits to why KeySearch is the best keyword search tool for any blogger (beginner or intermediate).
1) It’s so easy to use
Okay so maybe it freaked me out a bit once I saw the screenshots of these keyword search tools. They can look quite intimidating so can’t blame me haha. But after using the tool myself, I was shocked at how easy it was to use it.
I was doing my first keyword and key phrases research in no time. And you will too! Especially after the quick and easy tutorial I’ll show you below. 😉

2) Provides more than just keyword analysis
So even though KeySearch is primarily a keyword search tool to help you find relevant, low competition keywords, it has other features as well.
Some of these other features include:
- Backlink checker
- SEO competition analysis
- Rank checker
- Assistance to brainstorm blog post ideas
- and so much more!
So basically, you’ll not only improve your SEO by doing keyword research, but by analyzing these other components as well!
3) Extremely cost-efficient
Oh and don’t even get me started with the cost. The very first keyword search tool that was recommended to me was SemRush. Which if you’re familiar with it, you know how expensive it is – $99 per month to be exact.
This is actually probably why I had given up on keyword search tools (because I thought they would all cost me this much). But thankfully, I was wrong because KeySearch doesn’t even cost 1/4 of that!
With KeySearch, you not only get a one-month free trial when using my link here, but if you use my coupon code below, you’ll save 20% off your already low monthly cost! So that means that by using this link and entering Coupon Code: KSDISC, you’ll only pay $13.60 instead of $17 monthly (which is already 82% lower than the competition). How To Use KeySearch
Are you ready to be blown away at how easy it can be to increase blog traffic?
Sign into your KeySearch account, follow along with the tips below and you’ll soon be amazed!
Research keywords and keyword phrases
So when you first sign into your KeySearch account, you’ll see a screen like the below. Here is where you will do most of your keyword search analysis to find which ones to use throughout your blog post.
Depending on your audience, you may want to narrow down the results to match their country. However, this is not necessarily required.
What is required is for you to enter keywords you think would be relevant to your blog post. I’ve highlighted the two fields mentioned below for easy reference.
Throughout this guide, I will be using the research I did for one of my recent posts, Productive Things to Do at Home for Working Moms, as the example.
What type of keywords and key phrases should you be looking for?
Aha! This is the golden question I’m about to answer. But first, you need to know where to start.
A couple things to take into consideration when beginning your keyword research include:
What is your blog post topic? Who is your target audience? By answering these two questions alone, it should give you a good idea of which keywords to start looking up below.
For my productivity post, I searched a variety of keywords and key phrases including: productivity hacks and tips, how to stay productive at home, things to do at home while working and so on, and so on.
What to look for in each keyword or key phrase?
So here is where I’ll show you what each one of the charts on the main screen of KeySearch mean and what they show you.
So this first chart shows you how often this keyword or phrase is searched for. And as you can see, “productivity hacks” had a spike in April but the trend has decreased over time.
What does this mean for you?
It could mean a variety of things. Knowing the trend lets you know if your topic is one that people need at the moment. It also gives you a good idea if you should pursue to write about this topic or switch to something that your readers are actually looking for. Remember, you have to write for your readers.
But you know what, I’m not convinced that people are no longer trying to stay productive. Perhaps I need to be a bit less vague on my key phrases and test out something more specific.
Aha! I knew it! Now the trend for “productive things to do at home” is actually still doing well. I think I just found my focus key phrases for my blog post.
But wait, what about all the other charts on the KeySearch main screen? Don’t ignore them. You should analyze these too.
This chart pretty much tells you who your competitors are for the keyword or phrases you searched. Now I’m not going to lie, I don’t spend too much analyzing the data on this chart, though I probably should haha!
Click on a few of the top posts listed and read their content. Analyze it and try to see if you can figure out why their posts are performing so well. This will give you an idea on how to structure your own post. And no, absolutely DO NOT copy their content. This step is purely to give you inspiration.
Another thing you should at least take a look at are the first two columns. These show you the PA (page authority) and DA (domain authority) of the the top websites who rank for this key phrase.
Okay fine, let me deter for a second as I sense some confusion. Why should you care about PA and DA?
Well, PA is important because it tells you how difficult it will be to replace their blog post with your own on the first page. And DA pretty much tells you the strength of their website overall. These are SEO basics that all bloggers need to learn to increase blog traffic.
And if you still haven’t learned the SEO basics, don’t worry. This Secret Sauce to Growing Your Blog Traffic is one of the most affordable eBooks I’ve came across that teaches you this and I highly recommend it!
Okay, now let’s get back on track and move onto the next chart shown on the KeySearch main page.
Ah this one is my favorite! When you enter a keyword or phrase in the KeySearch search bar, this list will auto-populate to show you the most related keywords and phrases to the one you searched.
In addition, it will also give you the stats for each one of the related keywords and phrases.
But which stats should you be looking at exactly and why are they important?
The best keywords or phrases to focus on throughout your blog post are: HIGH VOLUME – LOW COMPETITION. << This would be the ideal but at least try to get as close to this as possible.
High volume – the higher the volume, more than likely, the competition will be high as well. I try to find keywords or phrases that show a volume of 300-500 searches. However, I may on occasion sprinkle a few other key phrases with a search volume of at least 200, I just don’t use it as my focus key phrase.
Low competition – similar to volume, the competition level correlates very well with the search volume. The lower the competition, many times means the search results for that key phrases are low as well. You can easily tell the competition level by the color codes:
- Green >> Low Competition
- Yellow >> Medium Competition
- Red >> High Competition (do not use these as your focus key phrase)
When going through this list of keywords and phrases, you should actually be jotting down more than one potential key phrase. Yes, you will ultimately need to pick ONE to be your focus key phrase, but you will still need to use similar keywords and phrases throughout your post.
Wait did I say jot down? I meant save your potential keywords which can easily be done by using one of the KeySearch awesome features below.
Save keywords into lists for each blog post
So you will need to go through this step numerous of times, searching for various keywords and phrases that would best match your blog post idea. Let’s take a look at the steps and key phrases I saved to my “Productivity Mom Hacks” list.
Once you’ve typed in your first key phrase, you will need to scroll through the list and check any that are relevant to your blog post idea.
Ideally, you will want to save the ones that are closest to “high volume, low competition.” However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t save the “low volume” or “high competition” keywords to your list. In a bit I’ll explain why but first, let’s get through this step.
Once you’ve clicked on “Save Keywords,” this box will pop-up for you to either create a new list or save to an existing one.
I highly recommend you create a new list for each blog post. But once you create it once, the next time you do your keyword research, you can select the name of your post list and add your new key phrases to it.
Once you’ve added all the relevant keywords and phrases, you can visit your list by clicking “My Lists” on the KeySearch menu bar. From there, it will bring you to a screen with two columns like shown above.
The list on the right is a list of well.. all your lists LOL! And as you can see on mine, I have a bunch haha. To bring up the keywords saved in each, you simply need to click the title and it’ll bring up your saved keywords and phrases on the left.
Analyze saved keywords and phrases
So this is the full list of keywords I saved for this specific post. As you can see, I saved all kinds of keywords and phrases to help me better increase blog traffic by giving me a full visual.
So what now?
Now, sort them in order from lowest competition to highest. You can easily do this by clicking on the “Score” button twice. Once you’ve done this, you can now begin to analyze the keywords to see which should be used as the focus.
As you can see from the list above, there are two key phrases I found that actually have very high volume and low competition. So *ding ding ding* – I’ve found my focus key phrases! 🎉
Now KeySearch has so many more features to help with analzying your keywords and phrases but these steps are the main ones I take when putting together a new blog post.
What about the other keywords and phrases you saved? Are they pointless?
No, they are not. Like I said earlier, you will still need to sprinkle other keywords and phrases throughout your post as well. The only difference is that they won’t be the focus and won’t be used as much as your chosen focus keyword and phrase.
And again, if you need help figuring out how to use these keywords and phrases in your blog post, I highly recommend you look into the Secret Sauce to Growing Your Blog Traffic eBook as it shares extremely useful information to help you increase blog traffic using proper SEO after you’ve done your keyword analysis.
